시작하기

사진 접근 허용처음 실행할 때 사진 보관함 접근을 허용하세요. 보관함 전체를 정리하려면 ‘모든 사진’ 접근을 권장해요.
분석 기다리기사진을 기기 안에서 분석해요. 홈 화면에 진행 상황이 표시되고, 앱을 켜 두면 더 빨리 끝나요.
카테고리 확인중복 사진, 비슷한 사진, 스크린샷, 흐릿한 사진, 큰 동영상 중 하나를 눌러 지울 사진을 확인하세요.
지우기 또는 합치기지우기나 합치기를 누른 뒤 운영체제의 확인 창에서 허용하면 정리가 끝나요.

달별로 한 장씩 넘기며 고르고 싶다면 홈 화면의 ‘한 장씩 정리’를 이용하세요.

문제 해결

사진 접근을 거부했어요 / 사진이 보이지 않아요

운영체제 설정에서 다시 허용할 수 있어요.

iOS: 설정 > 앱 > PhotoClean > 사진에서 ‘전체 접근’을 선택하세요.
Android: 설정 > 애플리케이션 > PhotoClean > 권한 > 사진 및 동영상에서 ‘모두 허용’을 선택하세요(기기마다 메뉴 이름이 조금 달라요).

일부 사진만 분석돼요

iOS에서 ‘선택한 사진만’처럼 일부 사진만 허용했다면 고른 사진만 분석해요. 홈 화면 안내의 ‘더 선택’이나 설정의 ‘접근할 사진 더 선택’에서 범위를 넓히거나, 운영체제 설정에서 전체 접근으로 바꿔 주세요.

처음 분석이 오래 걸려요

처음에는 모든 사진을 기기 안에서 한 장씩 분석해서 사진이 많을수록 오래 걸려요. 앱을 켜 둔 채로 기다리면 더 빨리 끝나요. 분석 결과는 기기에 저장되어 다음부터는 새로 추가되거나 바뀐 사진만 분석해요.

삭제 확인 창에서 ‘거부’를 눌렀어요

괜찮아요. 거부하면 아무 사진도 지워지지 않고 ‘삭제를 취소했어요’라고 알려 드려요. 다시 지우려면 지우기나 합치기를 한 번 더 누르고 확인 창에서 허용하세요.

지운 사진을 되살리고 싶어요

iOS: 사진 앱 > 앨범 > ‘최근 삭제된 항목’에서 30일 안에 복구할 수 있어요.
Android 11 이상: 기기의 갤러리 또는 파일 앱의 휴지통에서 30일 안에 복구할 수 있어요(위치는 기기마다 달라요).
Android 8~10: 시스템 휴지통이 없어서 복구할 수 없어요.

iCloud 사진 일부가 정리 목록에 없어요

PhotoClean은 iCloud에서 원본을 내려받지 않고 기기에 있는 미리보기 이미지로만 분석해요. 미리보기가 기기에 없는 사진은 분석에서 빠질 수 있어요.

비슷한 사진이 너무 많이(적게) 묶여요

설정 > 정리 기준 > ‘비슷한 사진 기준’에서 엄격 · 보통 · 넉넉 중에 골라 보세요. 엄격할수록 거의 같은 사진만 묶어요.

분석 결과가 이상해요

설정의 ‘처음부터 다시 분석’을 누르면 저장된 분석 결과를 지우고 모든 사진을 다시 분석해요. 사진은 지워지지 않아요.

광고가 신경 쓰여요

PhotoClean은 무료 앱이라 광고로 운영돼요. 설정의 ‘맞춤 광고’를 끄면 관심사에 기반하지 않은 일반 광고만 나오고, 동의가 필요한 지역에서는 ‘광고 개인정보 옵션’에서 선택을 바꿀 수 있어요.

데이터 삭제

PhotoClean에는 회원 가입이나 개발자 서버가 없어서 서버에서 지워야 할 계정이나 데이터가 없어요. 분석 캐시, 정리 진행 상황, 설정은 모두 기기에 있고 앱을 삭제하면 함께 지워져요. 자세한 내용은 개인정보처리방침을 확인하세요.

Getting started

Allow photo accessAllow access to your photo library on first launch. To clean up your whole library, choose access to all photos.
Let it analyzePhotos are analyzed on your device. Progress shows on the home screen, and keeping the app open helps it finish sooner.
Pick a categoryTap Duplicates, Similar photos, Screenshots, Blurry photos or Large videos to review what to delete.
Delete or mergeTap Delete or Merge, then allow it in the system prompt to finish.

Prefer to go one photo at a time, month by month? Use Swipe to clean on the home screen.

Troubleshooting

I denied photo access / no photos show up

You can allow it again in your system settings.

iOS: Settings > Apps > PhotoClean > Photos, then choose Full Access.
Android: Settings > Apps > PhotoClean > Permissions > Photos and videos, then choose Allow all (menu names vary by device).

Only some of my photos are analyzed

If you allowed only some photos, such as Selected Photos on iOS, only those are analyzed. Use Allow more on the home screen or Select more photos in Settings, or switch to full access in your system settings.

The first analysis is taking a while

The first time, every photo is analyzed one by one on your device, so larger libraries take longer. Keeping the app open helps it finish sooner. Results are saved on your device, and later runs only analyze new or changed photos.

I tapped Deny in the delete prompt

No problem. Nothing is deleted, and the app lets you know the deletion was canceled. To delete, tap Delete or Merge again and allow it in the prompt.

I want to recover a deleted photo

iOS: Photos app > Albums > Recently Deleted, within 30 days.
Android 11 and later: the trash in your gallery or files app, within 30 days (where it lives varies by device).
Android 8–10: there is no system trash, so it can't be recovered.

Some iCloud photos are missing from the results

PhotoClean never downloads originals from iCloud and analyzes only the thumbnails already on your device. Photos without a local thumbnail may be skipped.

Too many (or too few) photos are grouped as similar

Go to Settings > Cleanup > Similar photo matching and choose Strict, Normal or Loose. Stricter matching only groups nearly identical shots.

The results look wrong

Analyze everything again in Settings clears the saved results and analyzes all photos from scratch. No photos are deleted.

About the ads

PhotoClean is free and supported by ads. Turn off Personalized ads in Settings to see only general ads, and where consent is required, change your choices in Ad privacy options.

Deleting your data

PhotoClean has no sign-up and no developer server, so there's no account or server data to delete. The analysis cache, swipe progress and settings are all on your device and are deleted along with the app. See the Privacy Policy for details.
